Lecturer: Prof. David Fairen-Jimenez
Time: 16:00-17:30 Wednesday 20th April 2022
Room: Zoom online lecture, Zhiyuan Building Lecture Hall in Pingfeng Campus
Speaker and School Introduction:
Prof.Jimenez is leading the Adsorption & Advanced Materials Lab. Dr.David research concerns the study of the molecular mechanisms that control adsorption processes in porous materials. He is particularly interested in drug delivery systems, where nanotechnology has a fundamental impact to revolutionise cancer diagnosis and therapy. His objective is to evaluate new strategies in the study of adsorption processes, the study and design of new porous materials such as metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and to develop new methods in the prediction of their performance.
Key Points:
1. Structural characteristics and adsorption potential of MOFs materials
2. Introduction of Cambridge Structural Database (CSD) which MOFs deposited in
3. Shaping and densification of MOFs
4. Application of MOFs in different area
