Speaker and School Introduction:
Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), founded in 1900, is one of the most prestigious private research universities in the world. CMU ranks third in the QS World University Computer Science Rankings in 2022, and first in THE U.S.News Computer Science Rankings in 2022. Prof.Shlomo has worked at Carnegie Mellon University since 1994 and has also worked at ICASE (Institute for Computer Applications in Science and Engineering) at NASA Langley Research Center. His research focus on modeling and simulation of problems in material science and system biology, developing real time systems for monitoring and predicting instabilities based on mathematical models.
