Jianxing Honor College has always been committed to creating an innovative and vigorous academic atmosphere for students and providing active and extensive exchange opportunities. In order to further broaden students' international horizons and improve their  comprehensive quality, Jianxing Honor College organized honorary students to study in Hong Kong during the summer of 2016.

This study visit is mainly based on visits to Hong Kong universities. Students have visited Hong Kong Baptist University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Chinese University of Hong Kong and other well-known universities successively. In the overnight library of Hong Kong Baptist University, the students were deeply impressed by their strong thirst for knowledge and their devotion to study. Under the  introduction of Dr. Chen of Hong Kong Baptist University, the students had a better understanding of the history and current situation of Hong Kong.

In addition, Jianxing College specially invited local teachers to teach students Cantonese. Students are very happy to learn some simple greetings and a pure Hong Kong accent like nei houThe Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, a school built on the seaside, is nourished by the agility of water, and has ranked first in Asian schools in just 25 years. Blowing the sea breeze, walking barefoot on the small beach by the sea makes many students yearn for this. The Chinese University of Hong Kong, which is also surrounded by mountains and rivers, has a unique external landscape. The ancient trees near the place we call it nature and humanity are surrounded by water, which show a vigorous and independent solemnity.

The leading teachers also led the students to visit some local institutions in Hong Kong. The staff of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited(HKEX) introduced its development history and operation mechanism to the students, and the stock market conditions displayed on the big screen really attracted attention. Ms. Huang, a registered social worker of Tin Shui Wai New Home Association, introduced the development of the social work industry in Hong Kong to the students, and enthusiastically answered the students' questions, so that the students had a more comprehensive understanding of the social work industry.

In addition to the arranged itinerary, the students made full use of their free time to work in small groups, climbed the Peak to overlook the most beautiful night view in Hong Kong, and visited the ruins of the Kowloon Walled City to experience the history of that dark slum. Sitting quietly on the shore of Victoria Harbour to watch the light show, and walking around Mong Kok to experience the real street culture. Moreover, students also selected topics of interest and carried out research activities of Hong Kong to better understand the local culture and improve their practical ability.

This study trip to Hong Kong provided a good opportunity for students to experience the strong academic atmosphere of Hong Kong universities, to get in touch with cutting-edge science and technology and also to let the students feel the charm of Hong Kong. The trip was only 7 days short, but it must have left a deep impression to all students. In the hearts of the students, the seeds for a deeper and broader way of studying were planted.
